We received a special order for a barnyard animal cookies from a lovely lady in New Plymouth :) They own a Jersey Cow farm so she wants some farm animal cookies for her daughter's birthday this weekend. She specifically requested horses, cows, yellow chick and piggies. The cows had to be light brown so that it will look like Jersey cows of course ;-) We took photo tutorial on how to make the cows, yellow chicks and the piggy, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to take any photos of the horses as they were done late at night. Lets start with the cows :) These cookies are very simple to make, start with outlining the face shape of the cow and fill the face area & the top of the ear area with light brown flood consistency icing and let it dry. When the light brown icing has dried mark off the areas of the cow's spots with edible markers (see picture below). Next is fill the mouth area and the bottom of the ear with light pink icing, let it dry. Lastly add the details, fill the spots eyes and mouth with chocolate brown icing, and their nose with pink icing. The pigs are also really easy and simple :) Start off with round pink icing and add 4 little legs at the bottom. Don't forget to also add their cute curly tails and let it dry. Next add the pig's face and little feet, and let it dry. Lastly add the nose with a slightly darker pink icing and eyes with black icing. Last one is the yellow chick. Mark off the area of its body and wings. We started with filling the white belly area, then with an outline consistency yellow icing piped the body and wings, then fill it with flood consistency yellow icing, and let it dry. Next step is to pipe the orange colour icing for the feet, and lastly we add the details, such as its beak, eyes and top of the head with red icing. Just to show you the finished result, these are all the animals together :) We tried making the cow with white spots (bottom right corner) but we liked the chocolate brown spots better :P That was all, these are very easy, simple and adorable to make, hope this will encourage you to give it a go and try making these cuties. You don't even have to have a specific cookie cutter as you only need to have round cutters, which you can get easily ;-)
We hope these will go down a treat for the Sara's birthday party this weekend!

Just wondering if you make & sell these and if so how much? I am retiring from a primary school as Office Administrator after being there ‘forever’ & would like to give the kids something when I leave. These would be great 😊
