We have been wanting to try making these cookies for a while, and only just managed to find the time to make them now. They are really cute and really fun to make :) We didn't get a chance to take progress photo of the racoon, but we did managed to take progress photo as tutorial for the rest of the animals. Let's start with the cute fox, start with cream colour icing on the face, inner ears, chest and tip of the tail. Wait until they dry for a bit and then start adding the orange colour icing - see picture below. Lastly add the face details (eyes, nose and mouth line) with black icing, and using a stiffer consistency orange icing add the definition lines for his legs. Also depending if you want a girl fox or a boy fox you can add a little pink bow on the ears if you prefer to have a foxy girl ;-) Now for the owl, this one is super simple. Firstly use the same cream colour icing for the chest area, and let it dry for a bit. Then add the rest of the body as pictured below. Lastly add the details, such as eyes nose and feet. The optional step is to add an outline for her wings with a stiffer consistency grey icing. For the Porcupine or Hedgehog, start with the face area, little ear and the bottom of his belly & feet. Use the same cream colour icing as the ones for the owl & fox. Then add the brown body and let it dry. Lastly add the details of the face, the spikes and the outline of its feet. Here they all are together in a platter :) We packaged up the little foxy into a gift box as they look great as a mini gift box :) There you go, we love making these cuties, hopefully these will encourage some of you to try making them ;-) Have a great weekend everyone! :)

Hi Rebecca, thank you so much for your kind words on my work :) I got the cookie cutter from an online store in the US called "Cheap Cookie Cutters". They are reasonably big cutters (approx 3.5 inch/almost 9cm). Let us know how you go if you do try making these cuties ;-)

What kind of cookie is this? Like I planned on doing a plain colored sugar cookie but the creatures look cute on the black ?!

Hi Michelle, this was a chocolate cookie recipe but we replaced the normal cocoa powder with black cocoa powder which makes the cookie very dark. It taste almost like an oreo cookie, very yummy ;-)
