Well i've been asked to make birthday party favours for one of my girlfriend as her son is turning 3. To be perfectly honest I wasn't expecting to make another batch of Toy Story cookies again after the last one, but i couldnt say no as this one is for Javien's birthday party....i guess the moral of the story is never say never again lol :P I have posted the tutorial of how to make Buzz and Woody in my last Toy Story cookies blog post, if you missed it you can check it out HERE. So this time i will show you how to make the green aliens instead :) So we start by flooding the cookies with white icing. When the icing is dry we draw the outline of the alien shape into the cookie with an edible marker. Then after that, we start with the airbrushing . This is the part that i haven't been able to take photos of before as its hard to take photos and do the air brushing at the same time....so this time i have acquired assistance from my lovely daughter :) Prepare your stencil design that you want showing into the cookie and place it on top of the cookie. Then get the airbrush gun and attached it into the compressor and turn it on. Put the airbrush colour into the cup on top of the gun - see the picture below showing you how everything fits together. We put a 3 drops of yellow airbrush colour and 3 drops of vodka to dillue the colours a bit. Then press the airbrush button just behind the cup so that it will start spraying the colours into the cookie - see picture below of what it looks like after you have sparyed the colours into the cookie. Then remove the stencil to show the finished airbrushed result - this is what your cookie will look like :) NOTE: Make sure you put some tissues or rag clothing underneath so it wont spray into your table or the surface that you are spraying on. Okay so now that the cookie is ready to be decorated with icing we start with the green icing for the face area and the ears. Leave the eyes area empty so that we can fill it in with white icing later :) The next step is to pipe the the blue icing for his top and the purple icing for his collar. Also add the green antena and let it dry. Then add the white icing for his eyes, while its still wet add a dot of black icing and a white dot inside for his pupil. The last step is to piped the details of his mouth, ears and eye lids. There you go....after the cookies are done just need to add packaging and ready for the party :) We had such a great time at the party, hopefully all the kiddies enjoyed the cookies :)
